This legislation ensures the Federal Reserve cannot issue any potential central bank digital currency (CBDC) without the express authority of Congress. A CBDC would dramatically increase the Federal Reserve’s role and responsibilities beyond traditional monetary policy and regulatory functions and effectively enter the Federal Reserve into the consumer banking market.

Elmbrook Board approves leadership changes at two elementary schools

At the regular board meeting on May 21, the Elmbrook Board of Education approved leadership changes at both Brookfield Elementary and Swanson Elementary. At Brookfield Elementary, Principal Erin King will assume the District role of Assistant Director of Student Services.
