On May 4, the Elmbrook School District participated in the Wisconsin School Music Association’s State Music Festival by sending 135 choir, orchestra, and band events. This festival showcases the most talented musicians in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Each year at the State Music Festival, judges have the opportunity to recognize outstanding performers through the Exemplary Performance Project. This project aims to highlight exceptional performances at each festival site. Throughout the day, judges nominate standout performances, and by the end of the festival day, each adjudicator may select up to two award recipients.

Elmbrook School District received thirteen Exemplary Performance Nominations and had four winners:

Brookfield East High School:

- Jenny Mei, piano

- Saxophone Choir: John Tsagalis, Jack Olson, Sophia Hasek, AJ Broanson, Nate Meyers, Vyom Panchal, Laura Dressler, Amy Lor, Jack Nolde, Enzi Alvaro, Flannery Nichol, Milana Koutnik, and Drew Saudek

Brookfield Central High School:

- Sydney Zarske, Soprano solo

- Zach Stanley, Bass solo

Congratulations were extended to all music students for their representation at the state festival.
