Scott Fitzgerald, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 5th district, has been active on social media sharing his insights and legislative activities. As the successor of Jim Sensenbrenner since 2021, Fitzgerald continues to advocate for measures close to his constituents and his political agenda.

In an April 8, 2025 post, Fitzgerald addressed concerns about judicial overreach, stating, "The American people elected @POTUS with a mandate. Activist judges shouldn’t be able to block that agenda with nationwide injunctions." He highlighted the House's intention to vote on the No Rogue Rulings Act, expressing his support for the initiative aimed at curbing what he deems as partisan judicial intervention.

On April 9, 2025, Fitzgerald turned his attention to local economies, noting the importance of community banks and credit unions in Wisconsin. He mentioned, "In Wisconsin, community banks and credit unions are the backbone of our local economies—they know their customers, they serve their neighbors, and they provide trusted financial tools like overdraft protection to help families manage through emergencies." This message was part of his critique of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's policies on overdraft fees.

Fitzgerald's activities in the legislative process continued as illustrated in his post on April 10, 2025. He shared a link to his statement regarding the House passage of the FY25 Senate Budget Resolution. In his words, "My statement on the House Passage of FY25 Senate Budget Resolution ", indicating his involvement in budgetary matters within Congress.

Scott Fitzgerald boasts a long political career beginning in the Wisconsin State Senate, where he served from 1995 to 2021, and now in the U.S. Congress. Born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1963, he resides in Clyman and graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh in 1985.
