Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, U.S. Congressman from Wisconsin, recently addressed several issues on his official Twitter account, including federal oversight in Puerto Rico, the anniversary of a local tragedy, and workforce development initiatives.
On August 5, 2025, Fitzgerald commented on recent executive action regarding Puerto Rico’s Financial Oversight and Management Board. He stated, "I applaud @POTUS' decision to fire members of Puerto Rico’s Financial Oversight and Management Board. This action follows my letter to the board demanding an explanation for how hundreds of millions were wasted on consultants and lawyers while Puerto Ricans endured blackouts."
Later that day, Fitzgerald recognized the thirteenth anniversary of the Oak Creek Sikh Gurdwara attack in Wisconsin. He wrote on August 5, 2025: "Today marks 13 years since the tragic attack on the Oak Creek Sikh Gurdwara in Wisconsin. Freedom of religion is protected in the Constitution, and no religious institution should face violence or hate. Let us all take a moment to remember and pay tribute to the victims and stand".
On August 7, 2025, Fitzgerald highlighted his participation in a workforce event with Secretary LCD as part of her America at Work listening tour. In his post he said: "Great to join @SecretaryLCD for a stop on her America at Work listening tour in Wisconsin to highlight the power of apprenticeship and the strength of our skilled trades. As a Member of Congress, I’m proud to support apprenticeship programs that grow our workforce and https://t.co/jQLQUJQoa2".
