Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, a U.S. Congressman from Wisconsin, posted a series of messages on August 5, 2025, addressing recent meetings and legislative history involving NATO and state fiscal policy.

In a post made at 14:15 UTC, Fitzgerald described his visit to Brussels and discussions with U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker. He wrote, "Great meeting at NATO HQ in Brussels with U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker. Ambassador Whitaker made it clear that every dollar the U.S. spends on NATO must deliver security, stability, and strength for our country, and I couldn't agree more. Thanks to President Trump's" (August 5, 2025).

Later the same day at 16:56 UTC, Fitzgerald referenced Wisconsin's Act 10 and its fiscal impact on taxpayers in the state. He stated, "Wisconsin taxpayers have saved, and will keep saving, billions thanks to Act 10. The 14 Democratic state senators who fled to Rockford, Illinois, in 2011 had little impact on the final bill. I’m still very proud of the Republican legislators who stood firm in the face of great" (August 5, 2025).

A third message posted at 19:58 UTC included a link for further reading: "Read more https://t.co/wkCZxI1c6e" (August 5, 2025).
