Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 5th district since 2021, recently addressed a range of policy issues in a series of posts on his social media account.

On July 21, 2025, Fitzgerald commented on recent actions by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), stating: "The FTC recently rescinded its baseless bans on Scott Sheffield and John Hess. As @Jim_Jordan, @SenMikeLee, and I stated in our May 2025 letter, Lina Khan’s FTC twisted antitrust law to punish political opponents and push a far-left climate agenda. Glad to see this blatant". In another post made the same day, he linked additional information with the message: "Read more https://t.co/zYshzsEUvu".

Later that day, Fitzgerald discussed criminal justice reform and bail policies. He wrote: ".@POTUS is right. Cashless bail is fueling crime and putting dangerous offenders back on our streets. Last year, the House passed my bill, the Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act, to rein in radical left-wing bail policies and keep our communities safe. Fitzgerald has served as a member of Congress for Wisconsin's 5th District since replacing Jim Sensenbrenner in 2021. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate from 1995 to 2021. Born in Chicago in 1963 and currently residing in Clyman, Fitzgerald graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985.
