Enrollment at Mukwonago School District decreased by 1.7% compared to previous school year

There were 4,835 students enrolled in Mukwonago School District in the 2024-25 school year, 1.7% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 51.3% identified themselves as boys, 48.7% as girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 88.7% of the Mukwonago School District total enrollment.

Mukwonago School District covers nine schools within Waukesha County, with its main office in Mukwonago.

Among the nine schools in the district, Mukwonago High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,604 students in the 2024-25 school year.

Wisconsin had a student-to-teacher ratio of 14-to-1 in 2025, lower than the national average of 16-to-1, according to Public School Review.
