The School District of Elmbrook’s Board of Education confirmed the administration’s recommendation of Bryan Groshek and Chad Whalley as Associate Principals of Brookfield Central High School at its regular board meeting on Monday, July 8.
“We’re excited to have two talented individuals with a broad background in teaching and administration join our team at BC,” stated Brookfield Central Principal Brett Gruetzmacher. “I am confident in their ability to provide our BC community with a deep dedication to success, our students with rich instructional coaching, and our staff with important development experiences.”
Before coming to Elmbrook, Mr. Groshek served as the Assistant Principal at Waukesha South High School for the past two school years and as a Social Studies teacher at Union Grove High School for nine years. During his teaching tenure, he was the JV Head Baseball Coach and Assistant Varsity Football Coach. Additionally, he serves as a Technical Sergeant in the Wisconsin Air National Guard. He earned a BA in History and Secondary Education from Lakeland College and an MA in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Mr. Whalley brings seven years of experience as an Associate Principal, having served six years in the Sun Prairie Area School District and one year in the Beaver Dam Unified School District. Prior to his administrative roles, he taught Orchestra for sixteen years in the Sun Prairie Area School District and also worked for two years in Germany and two years in Iowa. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Northern Iowa, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Silver Lake College, and principal licensure from Viterbo University.
Bryan Groshek and Chad Whalley replace Dominic Bauer, who is now the Principal of Sussex-Hamilton High School, and Lindsay Charles, who is a new Associate Principal at Homestead High School. Mr. Groshek will begin on July 29, 2024, and Mr. Whalley will begin on August 1, 2024.
