Households in the Kettle Moraine School District with children eligible for free or reduced-price meals may also qualify for the Summer EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) Program. This income-based initiative provides $120 in benefits per qualifying child to help families purchase food during school breaks.

Families with children already receiving free or reduced-price meals do not need to take additional steps to receive Summer EBT benefits. For those not currently enrolled, two options are available: apply for free and reduced-price meals by August 29, 2024, or apply directly for the Summer EBT program, ensuring they meet the income requirements. The application deadline is also August 29, 2024.

This information specifically pertains to students in the Kettle Moraine School District. Procedures may differ for students attending other schools. Receiving Summer EBT will not impact eligibility for other programs like the Summer Food Service (SFS) or Seamless Summer Option (SSO). Further details on meal sites can be found at wisummerfood.org, by calling 211, or texting 'food' to 304-304.

The program does not affect immigration status. For questions regarding Summer EBT, contact the team at 833-431-2224 or via email at dhssebtsupport@wi.gov. Additional information is available on the Summer EBT webpage and through an informational flyer.
