Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 5th congressional district, shared several updates on his official social media account this week, including an invitation to a constituent event, a commemoration of Constitution Day, and remarks about a high-profile FBI investigation.
On September 16, Fitzgerald invited constituents to participate in a telephone town hall meeting: "Please join me for tonight’s Telephone Town Hall! Looking forward to speaking with constituents about all the pressing issues facing WI-05. Visit: https://t.co/46xrlZsS8d https://t.co/6jNhQJ9F03".
The following day, September 17, he marked the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution: "On this day in 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed, establishing the framework for our freedoms and the greatest country in the world. #ConstitutionDay https://t.co/qK5KPmf8OJ".
Later that same day, Fitzgerald addressed recent developments regarding an FBI investigation into a public figure's assassination: "Today, I questioned @FBIDirectorKash about the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk and the FBI’s subsequent investigation. Public reports have suggested the shooter acted alone. But given the discovery of Discord messages and text messages between the shooter and his boyfriend,".
Scott Fitzgerald has represented Wisconsin's 5th district since winning election in 2020 against Tom Palzewicz by securing over 60% of votes and again in 2022 against Mike Van Someren with more than 64% support from voters.
