Scott Fitzgerald, a U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin's 5th district since 2021, has been vocal on various issues through his social media platform. Having succeeded Jim Sensenbrenner, Fitzgerald brings his experience from the Wisconsin State Senate to the national stage.

On June 9, 2025, Fitzgerald shared insights from his visit to Syria with colleagues "Having visited Syria with my colleagues @RepFrenchHill and @RepBenCline, I saw firsthand the resilience of the Syrian people—especially children and families displaced for years. The closure of Rukban camp is a hopeful sign that stability is returning, allowing families to". This tweet reflects on the potential positive developments in Syria amidst ongoing challenges.

Later that day, Fitzgerald commented on events unfolding in California by stating "No! There’s nothing “peaceful” about assaulting federal law enforcement officers. What's happening in California is insane. Props to @POTUS for deploying the national guard. #LawAndOrder". His remarks emphasize support for law enforcement and endorse federal intervention in response to unrest.

In another post on June 9, he addressed legislative priorities concerning tax policy: "The big, beautiful bill is the only show in town. If you’re willing to risk losing the chance to extend the largest tax cuts in American history, you’ve got a lot of explaining to do down the road." He warns against discarding significant tax legislation that aligns with former President Trump's agenda.

Scott Fitzgerald was born in Chicago in 1963 and resides in Clyman. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh obtained in 1985.
