The Department of Public Works (DPW) for the city has announced the commencement of its Spring/Summer recycling schedule on Wednesday, April 2nd, at the new DPW Facility situated at W225N3201 Duplainville Road. Residents can utilize the recycling services on Wednesdays from 1:00 to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, excluding holidays. Entry to the Recycling Center is available via Duplainville Road, but it is mandatory for residents to display a city recycle permit tag in their vehicles when visiting. These tags can be acquired free of charge from the Clerk’s office at City Hall during weekdays between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, with proof of residency required. Notably, the Recycling Center no longer receives used motor oil, oil filters, or antifreeze. More information about recycling procedures within the City of Pewaukee can be found on the city’s official website.

In terms of electronic recycling, the City of Pewaukee has established a partnership with COM2 Recycling Solutions to provide no-cost electronics recycling to residents at the DPW Recycling Center during standard operating hours. Similar to other recycling activities, residents must display a city recycle tag in their vehicle. Users are also expected to delete all data from their devices before recycling as the city does not take responsibility for any data left on these devices. A comprehensive list of acceptable items and further details regarding electronic recycling are available on the City's website.
