The Pewaukee Parks and Recreation Department has announced the groundbreaking ceremony for Pewaukee’s first all-inclusive playground and Garrison’s Splash Pad. This event is scheduled for April 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Pewaukee Sports Complex.

This project aims to provide a play environment that caters to children of all physical and cognitive abilities. The playground will offer an inclusive space where children can play, explore, and interact with peers. Garrison’s Splash Pad will add a water play area that is both fun and accessible for families.

Nick Phalin, the Director of Pewaukee Parks and Recreation, stated: “We are beyond excited to bring this all-inclusive playground and splash pad to the Pewaukee community. This project represents our commitment to creating recreational spaces where every child feels welcome and included. It will be a fantastic addition to our parks system, and we can’t wait to see the joy it brings to families in Pewaukee.”

A notable contribution was made by Rick Fuhry in memory of his nephew, Garrison. Fuhry commented: “This splash pad will bring joy to kids and families throughout our community. Garrison really loved splash pads, as so many kids do. I’m proud to honor him with my contribution. I know that many will enjoy visiting Garrison’s Splash Pad for years to come.”

The public is encouraged to attend the ceremony where local officials, project donors, and community members will gather.
