The Alliance is actively working to support the business community in Waukesha County after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reclassified several Wisconsin counties, including Waukesha, from "moderate" to "serious" nonattainment for ozone. This change is anticipated to have a notable effect on economic development in the area.

To tackle this issue, the Alliance has joined forces with regional partners. A press release was issued last week with these partners to highlight the situation. The full press release can be accessed under "Coalition Formed to Fight Ozone Reclassification."

The coalition comprises various organizations, including MMAC, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, The New North, Kenosha Area Business Alliance, Racine County Economic Development Corp., Sheboygan County Economic Development Corp., Sheboygan Chamber of Commerce, and the Commercial Association of REALTORS Wisconsin.

Businesses affected by this reclassification or those interested in supporting these efforts are encouraged to contact Will Neitzel for more information.
