Emma Volk, a student from KM Global, participated in a week-long seminar focused on Democracy and Governance. The event featured simulations, guest speakers, and field trips. Volk described the experience as challenging but also full of opportunities for personal growth. "I wasn't super excited about the simulation at first," Volk admitted. "It sounded hard and stressful. But as the week went on, I started taking more risks and getting out of my comfort zone. I started having fun and enjoying it."

The seminar took place at Carroll University and was organized by Rotary International District 6270, based in Southeast Wisconsin. It aimed to provide high school students worldwide with insights from various speakers, including university presidents, business owners, nonprofit leaders, and authors. Participants engaged in small group activities to tackle challenges and worked through a diplomacy simulation to resolve a simulated crisis peacefully.
