For more than ten years, the Waukesha County Business Alliance has been working to develop the future workforce by introducing students to career opportunities in the region. With manufacturing and construction as key industries in Waukesha County, the Alliance hosted its third annual Experience the Trades expo to engage students with these fields.

The event took place at the Waukesha County Expo Center, where over 1,200 middle and high school students from within and outside of Waukesha County had a chance to meet with more than 30 local employers from the manufacturing and construction sectors. Students participated in interactive and hands-on demonstrations that allowed them to explore various trades.

"This year’s expo was a remarkable showcase of the collaboration that can happen when business and educational institutions come together," said a representative from the Alliance. The event was supported by schools, businesses, and sponsors who contributed to its success.
