The majority of students in Waukesha County districts were white in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of the 59,411 students attending Waukesha County district schools, 76.6% were white. Hispanic students were the second largest ethnic group among Waukesha County's districts, making up 10% of the student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common group in Waukesha County districts, representing 77.2% of the student body.

Norris School District had the most even distribution of races among county districts, which included 43.2% of African American students, 37.8% of white students, and 2.7% of multiracial students.

In the 2023-24 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the county dropped to 1.4% compared to the previous year.

White students were more likely to graduate from high school than any other ethnic group in Wisconsin. According to recent US Census data, nearly 95% of white students in the state successfully graduated in 2021.
