High school leaders highlight mental health initiatives

Student leaders from Brookfield Central and Brookfield East High School Hope Squads recently discussed the significance of their peer-to-peer suicide prevention program.

Brookfield Central students emphasized the positive impact of the Hope Squad organization on their school culture and its role in reducing the stigma around mental health. "You can see what they said in this video."

Meanwhile, Brookfield East students introduced their new Wellness Framework aimed at supporting both students and staff throughout the school year. "You can check out what they said here."

Elmbrook hosts the first Hope Squads in Wisconsin, a network that has expanded to over 150 districts. The district expressed pride and gratitude for the contributions of Hope Squads in all secondary schools.
