I received this thing in the mail - why did the Clerk's Office send this?

A likely answer is... we didn't. Many groups purchase lists of voter information from the Wisconsin Election Commission – Badger Voter database. Some groups are legitimate and some are not. Voting scams trick you by mimicking legitimate activities that happen around elections. Some examples include: Donation Requests, Election Surveys, Registration Forms, Absentee Requests, etc.

How can you avoid scams?

If you are unsure about something you receive in the mail, call the Clerk’s Office Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm at 262-782-9650.
