Paul Dedinsky, a Delafield resident and member of the St. Charles parish, said the economic policies put into place by the Biden-Harris administration "ignores the poorest and harms the most vulnerable" citizens in the country.
“A couple of weeks after Donald Trump lost the election in November of 2020, it was time to fill up my tank at a Costco in Wisconsin," Dedinsky said. "I stared at the pump and memorized the $1.69 price per gallon, wondering how long it would take for the price to rise."
"A year or so later under President Biden, the cost spiraled to $3.89 per gallon, the same as in the Obama years," he said. "Expecting Harris to deliver the same crippling economic injustices as Biden and Obama—continuing the trend of rising inflation that ignores the poorest and harms the most vulnerable throughout our nation."
The national average for gas prices is currently $3.39 a gallon, which is 35.9% higher than gas prices in January, 2020.
“From January 2020 to June 2022, gas prices nearly doubled (an 89.5% increase), but since then, they’ve fallen 28.3%” reported Pew Research Center.
While gas prices have fallen in the past year, under the Biden-Harris administration, gas prices reached an all-time high with the national average reaching $5.01 on June 13, 2022.
