Wisconsin State Sen. Julian Bradley (R-28) said Vice President Kamala Harris (D) and her running mate Governor Tim Walz (D-Minn.) "will say anything to gain power" after Harris promises tax reforms after the election and Walz made false statements about his time in the military.

"From Tim Walz’s stolen valor to Kamala Harris’ stolen ideas, it’s clear the Harris/Walz ticket will say anything to gain power," Bradley told Waukesha Times. "Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are no friend to wait staff, caddies, and those working in the service and hospitality industry. As Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz shut his state down and forced countless businesses to permanently close, putting their employees out of work and leaving them with nowhere to go."

"As Vice-President, Kamala Harris was appointed to be Border Czar but instead of pushing for more agents to secure the southern border, she said she was proud to have cast the tie-breaking vote that hired over 80,000 new IRS agents that would be chasing down tips and going after Venmo transactions between friends and family," he said. "If Kamala Harris was serious about not taxing tips or about securing our border, she would use her remaining time in office to get it done."

Harris has recently come out with a tax plan to remove taxes from tips for workers in the service industry, however former President Donald Trump has been promoting the idea as a part of his campaign for the past several months.

In February of 2023, the Biden Administration released a proposal “to crack down on the service industry’s reporting of tips," reported Fox News, which proves that Harris' administration is historically against removing taxation from tips, using the IRS to move in the opposite direction.

Walz was governor of Minnesota during 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic. He shut down the state for months on end, with initial shutdowns occurring in March of 2020 and many businesses that were deemed "non-essential" were punished for attempting to re-open in December of 2020 and January of 2021, as local business owner Lisa Hanson recently warned voters about.

Bradley has represented the 28th Wisconsin State Senate District since 2021. He graduated from graduated from La Crosse Central high school and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. He previously worked as a telecommunications manager for Century Link, and as an operations manager for Northwestern Mutual. Bradley is a resident of Franklin, Wisconsin.
