Elmbrook elementary students compete at national science bee

Fourteen students from Elmbrook Elementary Schools, ranging from grades 3 to 5, participated in the National Science Bee Competition held in Orlando, Florida. The event, organized by the International Academic Competitions, took place from May 23 to May 26, 2024.

The following students represented Elmbrook Schools and the state of Wisconsin:

**3rd Grade:**

- Sritha Bhagavatula (Burleigh Elementary)

**4th Grade:**

- Rayaan Absham (Burleigh Elementary)

- Abhishikth Vinod (Swanson Elementary)

- Pradyumna Rao (Swanson Elementary)

- Philip Choi (Swanson Elementary)

- Rishabh Mathur (Brookfield Elementary)

- Shayna Luthra (Brookfield Elementary)

**5th Grade:**

- Anirudh Sai Muralidharan (Brookfield Elementary)

- Saranya Bhagavatula (Burleigh Elementary)

- Cameron Drees (Dixon Elementary)

- Micah Sayner (Dixon Elementary)

- Sanvi Thakur (Dixon Elementary)

- Krishna Karody (Swanson Elementary)

- Prapya Patnaik (Swanson Elementary)

After four preliminary rounds, Anirudh Sai Muralidharan, Cameron Drees, and Rayaan Absham advanced to the Quarterfinal Playoffs for their respective grades. They were recognized for their achievements in these playoffs.

In addition to the buzzer-based bee competitions, several students participated in National Championship Written Exams across different science subjects. Anirudh Sai Muralidharan earned medals in multiple categories:

**Environmental Science:**

1st place - Grade 5

**Physical Science:**

2nd place - Grade 5

**Earth Science:**

2nd place - Grade 5

Congratulations were extended to all participating students for representing Elmbrook Schools and Wisconsin at the National Science Bee.
