Dixon Elementary School's recent Empty Bowls & Gallery Night fundraiser was a resounding success, raising over $7,000 for the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. The event, held on March 14, showcased student art throughout the school, including a popular glow room with blacklights and glowing artwork.

Amy Jacobson, Dixon Art Teacher and Event Organizer, expressed her pride in the students' efforts, saying, "I am so proud of the students’ hard work which filled our school with beauty and color." She also extended her gratitude to the Dixon community for their support, stating, "Thank you to the Dixon community for rallying around this important cause and showing outstanding support for their students’ creativity."

The fundraiser not only highlighted the artistic talents of the students but also brought together staff from Dixon, Brookfield East, and the District Office, who contributed to the bowls for a silent auction. The proceeds from the event will go towards providing thousands of meals for those in need in the greater Milwaukee community through the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.

In conclusion, the success of the Empty Bowls & Gallery Night event is a testament to the community's generosity and support. The organizers thank all those who contributed and encourage everyone to continue supporting such important causes.
