On Monday, March 18, the Pilgrim Park and Wisconsin Hills Middle School music students came together to perform in their first-ever Collaborative Music Arts Day! The event took place at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center, where students participated in music lessons and rehearsals that led to performances in the afternoon. In total, 190 orchestra, choir, and band students from both schools joined forces for this special occasion.

The Collaborative Music Arts Day was part of the "Celebration of the Arts" state-wide event, marking the 50th Anniversary of the Wisconsin Arts Board. The performances featured variations of the song "Like the Wind" by Erika Svano, which was inspired by Wisconsin Poet Laureate Dasha Kelly Hamilton.

In closing, a message of appreciation was shared, stating, "Congratulations to all of the Elmbrook middle school music educators and students on an incredible event!" Additionally, for those who missed the performances, it was mentioned that "videos of their performances can be viewed below."

The success of the Collaborative Music Arts Day showcased the talent and dedication of the students and educators involved, highlighting the importance of arts education in bringing communities together.
