The Republican Party of Waukesha County began the 2026 election season with its February “Pints and Patriots” event at The Clubhouse in Brookfield. More than 100 people attended, including current officeholders and candidates.

Terry Dittrich, chairman of the county party, opened the event. State Senator Julian Bradley introduced several state representatives: Barb Dittrich, Adam Neylon, Dave Maxey, Jim Piwowarczyk, and Scott Allen, who is running for Mayor of Waukesha. Steve Ponto, Mayor of Brookfield, was also present. Eric Toney, a candidate for Wisconsin Attorney General, spoke after a representative for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Maria Lazar. Candidates for local school boards, county supervisor positions and other municipal offices were also introduced.

“The room was energized like we have not seen in a long time,” said Chairman Dittrich. “We are all excited for the successes we are prepared to bring to these incumbents and candidates,” added Dittrich.

The Waukesha County GOP operates as a local political organization affiliated with the Republican Party and is guided by an executive team supported by volunteers, staff and elected officials according to its official website.
