Waukesha County Business Alliance reports strong finish for business education programs in 2025-2026

The Waukesha County Business Alliance announced on May 5 that its business education programs concluded the 2025-2026 school year with positive results.

The Alliance said it provided hands-on, career exploration opportunities to more than 3,000 students across Southeast Wisconsin. Through signature programs such as Schools2Skills, Experience the Trades Expo, Discovering Healthcare Expo, and Mini Business World, students engaged directly with employers and explored high-demand industries including manufacturing, construction, and healthcare. The organization said these efforts gave students a better understanding of various career pathways.

“Over the past school year, we provided hands-on, career exploration opportunities that reached more than 3,000 students across Southeast Wisconsin. Through signature programs like Schools2Skills, Experience the Trades Expo, Discovering Healthcare Expo, and Mini Business World, students engaged directly with employers, explored high-demand industries including manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and gained a better understanding of the numerous career pathways available to them. Through strong collaboration with school districts, post-secondary institutions, and businesses,” the statement read. “The Alliance’s business education programs are fueling a more informed, prepared, and inspired talent pipeline.” The organization also thanked sponsors and partners for their support.

The Waukesha County Business Alliance works to strengthen the local economy and enhance community prosperity through advocacy efforts focused on economic growth in Waukesha County according to the official website. The group includes over 1,200 member companies employing more than 120,000 people in the region. It serves diverse industries as a primary advocate for businesses in Waukesha County.

Looking ahead to future years of programming and partnership between schools and local businesses remains a focus for fostering an informed talent pipeline.
