Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, recently used his social media platform to address several issues ranging from support for veterans and first responders to concerns about corporate governance and political violence.

On September 8, 2025, Fitzgerald reflected on a local event by stating, "Heroes Fest in Watertown yesterday was a powerful reminder of the strength and dedication of our veterans and first responders and showcased the vital role service dogs have in supporting them. As a Member of Congress, I’ll continue working to ensure our veterans and first".

Two days later, on September 10, 2025, Fitzgerald commented on the influence of proxy advisory firms within corporate America. He wrote, "Proxy advisory firms have outsized influence over corporate governance but operate in the shadows. My bill, the Stopping Proxy Advisor Racketeering Act, will rein in these unaccountable firms and restore fairness and transparency for American investors. I’m looking forward to".

Later that same day, Fitzgerald responded to an incident involving Charlie Kirk by posting: "Horrified to learn Charlie Kirk was shot today during a campus political dialogue. My prayers are with Charlie and his family. Political violence has no place in America—ever."

Scott Fitzgerald has served as a U.S. Representative since winning election victories in both 2020 and 2022; he defeated Tom Palzewicz with 60.1% of the vote in 2020 and Mike Van Someren with 64.4% in 2022.
