Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin’s 5th district since 2021, posted a series of tweets between July 22 and July 24, 2025, addressing topics including immigration policy and government authority over non-disclosure orders.

On July 22, Fitzgerald criticized Democratic officials in Wisconsin, stating: "Democrats like Josh Kaul showing once again they will fight for illegal immigrants over putting Wisconsinites first."

The following day, he commented on a recent court decision regarding non-disclosure orders (NDOs), writing: "Yesterday, the courts rightly ruled that the government does not have the statutory authority to issue blanket non-disclosure orders (NDOs). While a step in the right direction, Congress should also pass my NDO Fairness Act to reduce the number of frivolous gag orders."

On July 24, Fitzgerald encouraged his followers to read his latest press release by posting: "Read my press release below "

Scott Fitzgerald succeeded Jim Sensenbrenner as representative of Wisconsin’s 5th district in 2021 after serving in the Wisconsin State Senate from 1995 to 2021. Born in Chicago in 1963 and currently residing in Clyman, Fitzgerald holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh.
