The majority of students in Waukesha County districts were white in the 2024-25 school year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of the 58,602 students attending Waukesha County district schools, 76.2% were white. Hispanic students were the second largest ethnic group within Waukesha County's districts, making up 10.2% of the student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common group in Waukesha County districts, representing 76.6% of the student body.

Waukesha School District had the most even distribution of races among county districts, which included 59.8% of white students, 25.3% of Hispanic students, 5.7% of African American students, 5.7% of multiracial students, 3.2% of Asian students, and 0.1% of Pacific Islander students.
