The Alliance is advocating for the business community and Waukesha County following a recent reclassification by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EPA has changed the status of Waukesha County, along with several other counties in Wisconsin, from "moderate" to "serious" nonattainment for ozone. This change is expected to significantly affect economic development in the region.

In response to this development, the Alliance is working with regional partners to address the issue. Last week, an initial press release was issued in collaboration with these partners to raise awareness about the situation.

"Our regional partners include MMAC, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, The New North, Kenosha Area Business Alliance, Racine County Economic Development Corp., Sheboygan County Economic Development Corp., Sheboygan Chamber of Commerce, and the Commercial Association of REALTORS Wisconsin," stated a representative from the Alliance.

Businesses affected by this reclassification or those wishing to support these efforts are encouraged to contact Will Neitzel.
