Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, a U.S. Congressman representing Wisconsin's 5th district since 2021, recently shared his thoughts on various issues through social media posts. His comments ranged from political appointments to educational discussions.

On November 19, 2024, Rep. Fitzgerald expressed his support for Sean Duffy's nomination as Secretary of Transportation by President-elect Trump. He stated, "I’m thrilled to see my fellow Wisconsinite, and friend, Sean Duffy nominated by President-elect Trump to be our next Secretary of Transportation. Sean is a man of integrity and will bring common-sense Wisconsin leadership that our country sorely needs right now!"

Later the same day, Fitzgerald addressed issues within the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), calling for leadership changes. He tweeted on November 19, 2024: "I've called on Chair Gruenberg to resign on numerous occasions with my @FinancialCmte colleagues. Gruenberg has a documented record of creating a toxic work environment at FDIC. New leadership can’t come soon enough to fix his decisions to put politics over agency credibility."

On November 20, 2024, Rep. Fitzgerald highlighted his meeting with UW System President Rothman about enhancing Wisconsin's higher education system. He noted in his tweet: "It was great to meet with UW System President Rothman to discuss Wisconsin’s premier higher education and the resources needed to keep our higher education system top-of-the-line."
