According to a report by Daily Caller, over 100 legislators wrote to President Biden on Monday, criticizing his decision to withhold certain weapons from Israel. The lawmakers' letter demands an explanation for withholding military aid from an ally fighting a terrorist organization and seeks a timeline for ending the pause. They also request details on plans to reassure other allies of continued U.S. support amidst political pressure.
The Biden administration has halted a shipment of U.S.-made ammunition to Israel for the first time since the October 7 attack. According to Axios, the driver for the halt is U.S. concerns that Israel might invade the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where over a million displaced Palestinians are sheltering. Israeli officials reported the stoppage.
