Milwaukee Tool and the Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) have been awarded the District’s 2024 Excellence in a Community Partnership award. The prestigious recognition will be part of the Engaged in Excellence Awards celebration scheduled to take place on Monday, May 6, at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center.

According to the announcement, Milwaukee Tool is commended for its remarkable contributions to the LAUNCH program and its generous donations to technical education classrooms within the District. Since the inception of the partnership in 2017, Milwaukee Tool has made significant monetary donations exceeding $30,000, provided 800 tools worth over $174,000, and actively mentored more than 150 LAUNCH student projects. Moreover, the company hosts an annual Innovation Challenge with LAUNCH, offering students the chance to tackle real-world challenges and gain valuable learning experiences.

On the other hand, WCTC has emerged as a crucial supporter of the Elmbrook Promise, the District's initiative to grant every high school student access to 30 college credits before graduation. The Excelerate program, a vital component of the partnership, is set to celebrate the first batch of graduates who will earn a high school diploma and an associate's degree simultaneously. The Dual Enrollment Academy, another significant collaboration, provides students with pathways to kickstart their careers, obtain certifications, and gain industry exposure in various fields including welding, Emergency Medical Technician, IT programming, firefighting, nursing, dental assistant, and more.

Innovative opportunities in advanced manufacturing and artificial intelligence are paving the way for students to acquire hands-on learning experiences geared towards future-ready careers. Additionally, new course offerings in business management and marketing are providing students with profound insights into the world of work.

In conclusion, the District extends its heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Milwaukee Tool and WCTC for their exceptional partnerships and invaluable service to the students, educators, and the Elmbrook community.
