Brookfield Central graduate Barbara (Schomann) Consigny and Brookfield East graduate Dan Buran have been announced as the recipients of Elmbrook’s 2024 Alumni Excellence Awards. The awards are a recognition of their dedication to giving back to the Elmbrook community through teaching and active involvement in various programs.

Barbara Consigny, a member of the first graduating class from Brookfield Central in 1958, had a fulfilling career as a Kindergarten teacher at Brookfield Elementary School for 17 years. She was also honored as the 1997 Elmbrook Employee of the Year before retiring in 2004. They actively engage in their grandchildren's pursuits in robotics and sports, expressing gratitude to Elmbrook for contributing to three generations of their family's success.

The Alumni Excellence Awards will be presented during the Engaged in Excellence Awards ceremony on May 6 at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center, with the event available for viewing on the Elmbrook Schools YouTube channel.
