The Muskego Chamber is registering businesses for hosting a Muskego Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours. These popular, monthly events offer Chamber business members the opportunity to showcase their business and network with other community professionals.

Registration is online and available as a first come, first host basis. Due to the number of businesses requesting to be hosts, every Business After Hours will have more than one host.

Deadline for registration: January 31, 2022 or once all slots are filled (whichever is first).

Description

Business After Hours Guidelines

The Chamber member may select one of the suggested days for the month they are requesting to host. Dates are determined according to the Chamber’s Event Calendar and are always scheduled Monday through Thursdays, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. 2022 planned dates are:

First Quarter: January 25, February 23, none in March due to the Gala

Second Quarter: April 20, May 19, none in June due to Jammin’ on Janesville

Third Quarter: none in July due to Taste of Muskego, August 9, September 29

Fourth Quarter: October 12, November 9, none in Christmas due to Christmas Party

Business After Hours hosting opportunities are generally sent the fourth quarter (or early first quarter) to fill the next calendar year. Due to popularity, there is often a waiting list. Registration is online and available as a first come, first host basis. Hosts are selected first from the waiting list and then according to the date we receive your request to host.

We suggest co-hosting with other Chamber members with one co-host being the venue owner. Feel free to ask another Chamber member to co-host with you and share the costs. Host(s) may request to use their location, but the Chamber reserves the right to determine the best location according to its size and availability.

Only Chamber members may host a Business After Hours. Each Business After Hours must include at least one member who has not hosted in the past year. Members who have not co-hosted in the past year will be considered first.

The Chamber charges an entry fee of $5 per person (exception: hosts and their employees). This fee covers soft costs for marketing these events.

Hosts and Chamber Ambassadors are encouraged to invite new, non-Chamber guests and to promote Business After Hours events. Generally, we have 25 to 30 attendees.

Partner Sponsors receive free admission(s) as determined by the level of sponsorship.

The Chamber will:

Post the Business After Hours on www.muskego.org\events. This feeds to our Facebook page.

Send an email invitation to Chamber members and include the event in our Chamber Newslink.

Encourage our Board of Directors and Ambassador Team to attend, invite guests, and promote your Business After Hours.

Notify host of the number of guests registered; walk-ins are probable.

The Host(s) will:

Promote the Business After Hours to your employees, guests, customers, and friends.

Attend other Business After Hour months when you are not hosting.

Provide a table and chair for attendee check-in.

Provide appetizers and beverages—25 to 50 attendees depending on location and number of host(s). Costs should be equally distributed among the co-hosts. We suggest these be slightly larger than samples, but not full items. If held in a restaurant/bar, we encourage guests to purchase extra items (beverages, other meals).

Provide a door prize (one per host and valued at $25 or higher).

We look forward to partnering with you for a successful event. If you have questions, contact Krisann at 414-422-1155 or executivedirector@muskego.org.
