City of Delafield recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Delafield-Deer Management Committee-would like to remind you of this great, upcoming hunting opportunity that would benefit everyone.
According to wildlife biologists, a deer population left unchanged can double every 4 years. The Committee was set up to work with the DNR to encourage legal bow and arrow harvesting of deer on specified, identified City of Delafield lands for wildlife management.
This new season starts September 18, 2021 through January 9, 2022. The cost of a tag is free.
The Committee offers 3 options to hunters. Option #1 is hunting on private property. Option #2 is hunting on private property using city issued nuisance tags and option #3 is hunting on sanctioned bow stands.
