Of the 10,833 people living in Sussex in 2019, 50.5 percent (5,475) were women and 49.5 percent (5,358) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Waukesha County Times.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 3,471-to-3,338. In the 65 and over age range, there were 711 females and 513 males.
