Rep. Scott Fitzgerald, who represents Wisconsin’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted several key developments and recognitions through his social media posts between May 11 and May 13, 2026.

On May 11, Fitzgerald shared his meeting with local student winners of a national coding competition: “It was great to meet with the winners of WI-05’s Congressional App Challenge, Bharat Nambisan and Ashok Nambisan from Stanford Online High School (Menomonee Falls), when they were recently in Washington, D.C., to demo their app at the #HouseOfCode celebration. Their app, https://t.co/bJ0iotSMRP”.

The following day, on May 12, he commented on recent federal regulatory actions impacting the airline industry: “It’s worth remembering the Biden-Harris DOJ blocked the JetBlue-Spirit merger that could have strengthened competition and helped the airlines weather financial distress. Instead, consumers are left with fewer flights and higher prices. Read my op-ed in the @journalsentinel “.

On May 13, Fitzgerald congratulated Kevin Warsh for his confirmation as Chairman of the Federal Reserve: “Major congratulations to Kevin Warsh on his confirmation as Chairman of the Federal Reserve. Kevin has decades of experience and has proven his commitment to fighting inflation and lowering costs for hardworking Americans. His Chairmanship will be revolutionary in helping our”.

Scott Fitzgerald has represented Wisconsin’s 5th district since replacing Jim Sensenbrenner in 2021. He previously served in the Wisconsin State Senate from 1995 to 2021. Born in Chicago in 1963 and currently residing in Clyman, Fitzgerald holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh (1985). In past elections, he defeated Tom Palzewicz in 2020 with over sixty percent of votes and Mike Van Someren in 2022 by a similar margin.
