Congressman Scott Fitzgerald from Wisconsin’s 5th District has released a statement regarding the recent U.S. military strikes against Iran. The operations targeted key nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

Fitzgerald stated that these actions were “strong, decisive action fully within President Trump’s constitutional authority as Commander in Chief.” He noted that the strikes have significantly impacted Tehran’s nuclear capabilities and aimed to prevent threats to global security.

The Congressman emphasized that the decision to conduct these strikes was made with “resolve, responsibility, and in pursuit of a more stable and peaceful future.” He underscored the importance of reducing Iran’s capacity to develop nuclear weapons and expressed support for sending a clear message about America’s readiness to defend national interests.

Fitzgerald also urged Iran to consider diplomatic negotiations over further provocations. While advocating for diplomacy as the preferred approach, he voiced his backing for President Trump’s exercise of constitutional authority to protect the United States and avert larger conflicts.
